Lets start our skin preparation for the application of the tan, we all have our mitts and products and all for our bodies but what about our faces?
I hope you don't use your mitt that you use for the body on your face and you use something appropriate for it. Our mitts can be a bit too rough for our skin on our face and I do not recommend it. And Be aware if your body product can be used on your face as well.
So many times people just don't exfoliate the face. You can use a peel to exfoliate. It lifts the dead skins and clears from debris. Skin feels so smooth after and all ready to receive your tan next day! Just remember If you're using a retinol, or any face or body products that have AHAs in them, like glycolic, lactic, and citric acids, avoid them for at least 24 hours before your spray tan “They cause your skin to exfoliate on a deeper, cellular level, which can cause the pigment to fade faster.” Some people end up with very uneven tan if using any product containing those ingredients.
There is so many things you can buy and use. Just make sure you find the product you love and agrees with your skin.
Just a reminder that this post is not to recommend a product but to make you aware that there are amazing products out there to help you out. I am sharing what is good for me and what I love and like. Make sure if you have any allergies or issues or are not sure if you can use a product, to ask to your Doctor before using anything.
