The 60 Second Reset Tan Remover Gel from Azure Tan 500mL

Fast Tan Removal Gel for Patchy Fake Tan, Spray Tan Build-Up & Weekly Tan Resets

Meet your new fake tan reset button.

The 60 Second Reset Tan Remover Gel is a fast-acting tan remover designed to help break down old spray tan, self tan, patchy fade, and stubborn colour build-up in as little as 60 seconds*.

Infused with fruit enzyme extracts including Papaya, Pineapple, and Dragonfruit, this lightweight gel helps gently lift residual tan while leaving the skin feeling smooth, soft, and ready for your next glow.

Perfect for removing uneven fake tan, smoothing patchy areas, and creating a cleaner canvas before your next spray tan or self tanning application.

At Personal Tanner in Morningside, Brisbane, Karina has tested this remover herself and really likes how it helps tan “melt” from the skin — especially when the tan is older and ready to come off.

For best results, remember:
*older tan removes faster, fresh tan needs more time.

A 9–10 day old tan will usually remove much easier than a fresh tan or weekly tan build-up. If you tan every week or use gradual tan extender, leave the gel on for a few extra minutes and use a good exfoliating mitt to help lift the tan evenly.

Karina’s Honest Tip

This remover is beautiful, but tan removal always depends on the stage of your tan.

Old tan? Easier.
Fresh tan? More stubborn.
Weekly tan? Needs a little extra work.
Gradual tan? Give it more time.

Use it properly, give it a few minutes when needed, and let it help melt that old tan away — because a clean canvas makes the next tan so much better.

  • What is the 60 Second Reset Tan Remover Gel?

The 60 Second Reset Tan Remover Gel is a fast-acting tan remover designed to help break down old fake tan, patchy areas, and uneven fade so your skin feels smoother and ready for your next tan.

It is lightweight, easy to apply, and made with fruit enzymes to help gently lift tan build-up from the skin.

Does it really work in 60 seconds?

Yes — but let’s be very honest here, because you know I will never sell fairy dust in a bottle and pretend it removes 3 layers of weekly tan by magic.

The 60 seconds can work beautifully, especially on older tan that is already ready to come off. But how fast it works depends on:

    • how old your tan is
    • how many layers of tan you have
    • whether you use gradual tan extender
    • how hydrated your skin is
    • how often you tan
    • how stubborn your tan is holding on for dear life

An older tan, around 9–10 days old, will usually remove faster because your skin is already naturally shedding.

A fresh tan, or a weekly tan with layers, may need a little more time and help from a good exfoliating mitt.

Will it remove a fresh tan?

A fresh tan will always be harder to remove than an older tan.

When your tan is fresh, it is still sitting nicely on newer skin cells, so it is not always ready to just pack its bags and leave after 60 seconds.

If your tan is only a few days old, leave the gel on a little longer and use a good exfoliating mitt to help lift it. But why would you want to remove your new tan anyway.

Is this good for weekly tanners?

Yes, I really like this remover for weekly tanners.

But if you tan every week, your tan can be more stubborn because you may have more build-up. In that case, I recommend applying the gel, letting it work for a few minutes, then using a proper exfoliating mitt.

Weekly tanners usually need more than just a quick rub and a prayer.

Is it easier to remove a 10-day-old tan?

Yes. A tan that is around 9–10 days old is usually much easier to remove because the skin is already naturally shedding.

That means the remover can work faster and the tan will usually lift more easily.

What if I use gradual tan extender?

If you use gradual tan extender, your tan may be harder to remove.

That is because gradual tan adds more tanning ingredients to the skin, so you may have extra colour build-up. You may need to leave the gel on a little longer and exfoliate well.

Still very doable — just don’t expect your tan to disappear like my motivation after folding one basket of laundry.

    How do I use it?

Apply the gel to dry skin where you want to remove old tan. Let it sit for at least 60 seconds and massage trough.

For older tan, 60 seconds may be enough.
For weekly tan, fresh tan, or gradual tan build-up, leave it on for a few minutes.

Then massage and remove using warm water and a good exfoliating mitt.

Do I need an exfoliating mitt with it?

I highly recommend using a good exfoliating mitt, especially if you tan weekly or have stubborn patches. The Sunscape Mitt  is the best I tried

The gel helps soften and melt the tan, but the mitt helps physically lift everything away. Together, they do the proper job.

    Will it strip my skin?

The formula is designed to help remove tan without stripping moisture.

It contains fruit enzyme extracts, including Papaya, Pineapple, and Dragonfruit, to help gently exfoliate and smooth the skin.

As always, after removing tan, hydrate your skin well.

Can I use it before my next spray tan?

Yes. This is a great product to help create a smoother, cleaner canvas before your next tan.

For best results, remove your old tan the day before your spray tan, not five minutes before you arrive at the studio looking like you fought a tiger in the shower.

Is it suitable for all skin types?

Yes, it is suitable for all skin types.

If your skin is sensitive, patch test first and do not over-scrub. Be gentle with your skin. We want the tan gone, not your entire leg.

    Karina’s honest opinion?

    I really like this remover.

It helps the tan melt beautifully, especially when you give it a little time to work. The “60 seconds” part is great, but the real answer depends on the age and stage of your tan.

    Old tan? Easy.
Weekly tan? Needs a little more love.
Fresh tan? Good luck, babe — give it time and a good mitt.
