Why Velvet Nectar Hydration Is a Must After a Spray Tan
Let’s make spray tanning science very simple.
Your spray tan sits in the top layer of your skin. This layer is made of old skin cells that naturally shed every day.
Think of them like tiny little tiles.
When those tiles become dry, they can lift, crack and fall away unevenly. And because your spray tan colour is sitting on those tiles, your tan can start looking patchy too.

DHA Can Make the Skin Feel Dry
DHA is the ingredient that creates your beautiful spray tan colour. It reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of your skin—but it can also leave the skin feeling drier than usual.
Dry skin and a beautiful, even tan are not best friends!
That is why hydration should not be treated as an optional extra. It should be part of the spray tan process.

For Spray Tan Artists
Your job should not finish when the colour has been sprayed.
Once the spray tan is applied and completely dry, Velvet Nectar can be misted lightly over the body while the tan is still developing.
Velvet Nectar is Australia’s first post-spray-tan hydrating dry oil mist, created specifically for this stage.
It begins hydrating the skin while your client is still “marinating,” helping the skin feel more comfortable and giving your service a beautiful, luxurious finish.
Tan first. Dry properly. Apply Velvet Nectar. Then send your client home glowing!

But please do not stop there!
Take Velvet Nectar home and use it every day after your shower. Apply it while your skin is still wet, then gently massage it over your body. You only need a small amount—a little goes a very long way.
Using it on wet skin helps the oil spread easily and leaves the skin feeling beautifully hydrated without needing to apply too much.
The Easy Velvet Nectar Routine
Get your spray tan.
Have Velvet Nectar applied immediately after the tan is completely dry. Ask your spray tan artist for it!!!
Take Velvet Nectar home.
After your first rinse, wait approximately 12 hours before beginning your normal moisturising routine.
Apply Velvet Nectar daily after showering, while your skin is still wet.
Enjoy softer-feeling skin and a tan that fades more smoothly.
Velvet Nectar cannot stop your skin from naturally shedding—nothing can. But keeping the surface hydrated helps prevent it from becoming unnecessarily dry, rough and flaky.
Once you experience a spray tan with intense hydration and continue using Velvet Nectar at home every day, you will finally understand:
A spray tan loves hydrated skin.
And you may never want a dry spray tan again!
