Can you actually buy a hydrating tan remover that works?
You sure can.And thank goodness for that, because trying to scrub off old fake tan with hope, regret, and a random body wash is not the vibe.
At Personal Tanner, I have tried quite a few tan removers over the years, and if you know me, you know I only keep what I actually like. At the Personal Tanner HQ — also known as my little tan-loving world in Morningside, Brisbane — products need to work before they earn a spot.
One of my absolute favourites? The TanOFF bar.
It is honestly one of the most amazing tan removers I have tried. It is made right here in Australia, and when I say you can actually see the tan melting, I mean it. It is very satisfying. Slightly gross. But mostly satisfying.
Why I like the TanOFF bar
What I love about the TanOFF bar is that it helps remove old tan without feeling harsh and aggressive on the skin when used properly.
And that matters to me, because I tan myself weekly, so I need a product that helps me get the old tan off without feeling like I have fought for my life in the shower.
Some removers are fine. Some do nothing. Some make big promises and then leave you patchy, dry, and annoyed.
But TanOFF is one of those products that makes you go,“Ohhhh… there it is.”
How I use TanOFF
Because yes, there is a right way.
I usually use TanOFF just after shaving. First, I lather the bar in my hands and build up the foam there. Then I take that foam and massage it through the body.
I do not use the bar directly on my skin. The little granules can feel a bit scratchy, so for me, the best way is to lather it in the hands first and then apply the foam.
After that, I go in with my Sunescape Exfoliating Mitt over the soapy skin. I massage it through and let it sit for a few minutes while working it in.
Then I rinse and check the damage… or the success, depending on how strongly my old tan was hanging on for dear life.
Sometimes one pass is enough.Sometimes you need a second round.
That is very normal, especially if you are a weekly tanner. Weekly tan is nearly always a bit more stubborn to remove because you are not just removing one fresh layer — you are dealing with a build-up situation.
Weekly tanners, this is for you
If you tan weekly, you already know: removal is part of the routine.
A good tan remover is not just a “nice extra.” It makes a huge difference to how your next tan sits, develops, and fades. Old leftover tan can grab in the wrong places and make your next glow look patchy, darker in spots, or just a bit messy.
So yes, I highly recommend TanOFF.
And if you are a proper weekly tanner, you should also have a look at The Weekly Tan System from my Tan Cave Systems. It was made exactly for people who love being tanned on repeat and need the right products to prep, remove, maintain, and keep everything looking smooth and beautiful.
Because weekly tanning is fabulous. But weekly tanning with no proper removal plan? That is chaos with bronzer on top.
Where to buy TanOFF in Brisbane
If you are in Brisbane, you can shop products I actually use and trust through Personal Tanner. I only stock what I genuinely rate, and TanOFF is absolutely one of those products.
So if you have been wondering whether you can buy a Hydrating Tan Remover That Works , helps lift old colour while still fitting into a proper skin and tan routine, the answer is yes.
And this one is a very goodie.
